About Edube

Knowledge that transforms education.

We conduct research, develop solutions, and train professionals to bring the science of learning closer to everyday educational practice.

We are the bridge between scientific evidence and the classroom.

Who we are

An institute connecting science, practice, and transformation.

Instituto Edube — Evidence-Based Education — is an organization dedicated to producing, disseminating, and applying scientific knowledge to improve education.

Founded on 20 July 2020, Edube works at the interface between research, professional development, materials design, educational assessment, innovation, and public policy implementation.

We believe educational decisions should be guided by the best available evidence, and that scientific knowledge must reach classrooms, schools, and school systems in ways that are accessible, responsible, and applicable.

Our name is inspired by the ancient Edubbas, the writing schools of Mesopotamia, recognized as some of the first organized spaces for learning in history.

Today we seek to honor that legacy by building a new space for learning: grounded in science, committed to equity, and oriented toward impact.

Why we exist

Science already knows a great deal about how people learn. That knowledge still has to reach practice.

Education produces thousands of decisions every day: which materials to use, how to teach, how to assess, and which policies to implement. Many are still made on the basis of tradition, opinion, or isolated experience.

In recent decades, science has significantly expanded what we know about learning, human development, and teaching. Yet that knowledge still reaches schools slowly and unevenly.

Edube exists to narrow that gap. We turn scientific evidence into practical solutions that help teachers, school leaders, and organizations make better-grounded decisions and expand learning opportunities.

We concentrate our main efforts on early childhood and foundational literacy, because a solid base widens the possibilities for learning throughout life.

Our direction

Purpose, mission, and vision

Purpose

To ensure that every child has access to a high-quality, inclusive, evidence-based education, regardless of background or context.

Mission

To advance excellent, inclusive, and equitable education through the production, application, and dissemination of scientific knowledge. We turn evidence into programs, materials, research, technologies, professional development, and policies capable of improving learning and strengthening education systems.

Vision

To be a national and international reference in evidence-based education, helping scientific knowledge guide educational decisions and expand learning opportunities for everyone.

How we work

From producing knowledge to implementing it.

We integrate research, professional development, product design, and institutional support to turn evidence into concrete improvement.

01

Research and innovation

We produce and systematize knowledge on learning, literacy, human development, psychology, assessment, and education policy.

02

Training and dissemination

We translate scientific evidence into courses, certifications, mentoring, study groups, publications, and learning experiences.

03

Educational solutions

We develop programs, classroom materials, assessments, technologies, and implementation strategies for schools and school systems.

04

Public policy and cooperation

We work with governments, multilateral bodies, institutes, and organizations to design, implement, and evaluate educational policies and programs.

Our method

From evidence to impact

Research

We identify the best available evidence and produce new knowledge.

Development

We turn knowledge into programs, materials, assessments, technologies, and training.

Implementation

We adapt solutions to real contexts and support professionals and institutions.

Evaluation

We monitor processes, results, and implementation conditions.

Improvement

We use data and learning to continuously refine our solutions.

Fields of knowledge

An interdisciplinary practice.

We bring together different fields of knowledge to understand how people learn and how institutions can create better conditions for teaching and development.
